Christy Williamson, PTA

Christy has known the benefits of physical therapy since being treated for back pain following her second pregnancy over twenty years ago. “As a mother who depended on movement to not only care for her kids but also to manage her anxiety and postpartum depression, being able to move again without pain literally saved my life. I loved how the therapist taught me what I could personally do to influence my recovery; it was really encouraging and empowering.” Christy decided to become a PTA so she could combine her experience with teaching and love of exercise to help others. Christy has an Associate’s degree in Elementary Education from Rick’s College and a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies from BYU-I. Christy then graduated from ISU with her Physical Therapy Assistants in April of 2023.

She has a special interest in pelvic floor health and treating postpartum women. She will be helping our pelvic floor physical therapist, Sarah Cairns, with our pelvic floor patients. Outside the clinic, Christy enjoys photography, family history, yoga, and personal development.
